About the Project

Project Idea and Aim

Veterans and combatants possess unique experience, knowledge and competencies developed in complex and crisis situations. The project proposes a shift from the traditional approach to their reintegration: viewing veterans not only as a group in need of support, but as agents of social change capable of applying their acquired experience in civilian, professional and public life.

The aim of the project is to develop and implement an internationalized methodology for the socio-psychological development of veterans, aimed at transforming military and post-traumatic experience into globally relevant leadership competencies and fostering engagement in social, educational, intercultural and international initiatives.

The project is based on the study and adaptation of international experience, the identification of psychological, cultural and social factors in the transformation of military experience, and the development of a model for transferring acquired competencies to the areas of crisis management, team resilience and adaptive leadership.

From Reintegration to Social Leadership

The project proposes a transition from the traditional model of veteran reintegration to a model focused on activating their potential as agents of social change. Military experience is regarded as a foundation for developing leadership, communication and social competencies and for veterans’ further engagement in civic, educational, intercultural and international settings.
